Forces are against us that we don't even know: Our planet is razed, replaced with strip-malls and condos. It's razed and what replaces it is resource extraction. Enforced by the brutal rule of our military at the expense of the whole of the republic, that is, at the expense of our public institutions! Packaged with consumerism! Sex crimes proliferate on our war-torn planet. We blame the perverts, the addicts, the homeless, the lonely, while we can barely keep our own wolves at the door. We watch the coverage of our broke economy and the terrible losses at the hands of COVID and poverty. That is, at the hands of our brutal, cold governments, packaged with public relations! Don't you want the truth? He's really going to die in there! Fake news enough for you? When's it gonna be too much? Free Julian Assange. (When's it gonna be too much? Free Julian Assange.) x 4 (bridge) Go to sleep. (go to sleep) There's nothing to see here. (there's nothing to see here) Go to sleep. (go to sleep) Everything is under control. (Everything is under control) Go to sleep. (go to sleep) Go to sleep. (go to sleep) We'll watch over you. (we'll watch over you) Trust us. (trust us) Go to sleep. Go to sleep. Life is Easy 05:14
Life is easy since I accepted “nothing matters!” Life is easy since I accepted “I'm responsible!” Everything is honky-dory now that I'm to blame. Everything is just wonderful now that I'm my own worst enemy. I just gotta get my head on straight: “Nothing holds me back except myself!” “We truly live in the greatest time!” and “everything's on the up and up!” and now me, too! How comforting there is no great conspiracy! “I've got a destiny to fulfill,” “Everyone's born for a reason,” and now me, too! Life is easy since I accepted “nothing matters!” Life is easy since I accepted “I'm responsible!” Everything is honky-dory now that I'm to blame. Everything is just wonderful now that I'm my own worst enemy. I just gotta “allocate my time,” craziness doesn't factor in! A lack of work is immaterial since it isn't really something I can change: “only means” never ends! I appreciate I'm “connected to everyone,” whatever the fuck that means! I can't remember what I'm supposed to be, But who cares? (because...) Life is easy since I accepted “nothing matters!” Life is easy since I accepted “I'm responsible!” Everything is honky-dory now that I'm to blame. Everything is just wonderful now that I'm my own worst enemy. Life is easy since I accepted “nothing matters!” Life is easy since I accepted “I'm responsible!” Everything is honky-dory now that I'm to blame. Everything is wonderful now that I'm the only problem.

about

Welcome to the Cancer Stage of Capitalism. The name of this EP is derived from John McMurtry's book of the same title, which identifies the underlying social values actually present in globalization. To say that globalization is a cancer is an apt description. The institutions, organizations and social norms that allow humans to exist and to prosper are gutted over time by politics and by forces beyond our control.

Sell this! Winnipeg, Manitoba

Mixing industrial, classical and metal, Sell This! screams about the 2020s. Could be cathartic for you. It sounds like Trent Reznor singing for Apocalyptica.
